Venue + Hotel Info
The academy will take place in Waco, Texas. Lodging is not included in registration cost. Recommended hotel options and final venue details will be sent to registered attendees by May 15th.
Airport + Transportation
The closest airport is Waco, but only services American Airlines. Other airlines fly into Dallas (Love Field, DFW) or Austin, which are about 1.5 to 2 hours away from Waco.
Meals
A light breakfast and snacks will be provided both days. Lunch and dinner are not included. Registered attendees will receive a list of nearby restaurant suggestions.

Please bring a laptop or tablet, something to write with, and an open mind and a passion you are curious to explore

I’m Andi McNair, founder of Genius Hour Academy and author of Genius Hour: Passion Projects that Ignite Innovation and Student Inquiry. I have more than 25 years of experience in education, including serving as a teacher, gifted classroom teacher, and gifted specialist.
I created Genius Hour Academy to help educators build classrooms where curiosity, creativity, and meaningful learning can thrive. My approach combines practical implementation strategies with hands-on experiences so you leave with both inspiration and a plan.
