GIFTED ONBOARDING
Clarity to Understand
Starting gifted services without onboarding is like handing a new hire a badge and a desk and hoping they figure out the rest. The right entry point changes everything.
Gifted Onboarding gives learners language for their own giftedness and gives families a way in. Before a learner will risk going deeper, they have to understand who they are as a learner.
Stage 2
DESIGNING FOR DEPTH
Skills to think
Depth is not the same as more. Handing a gifted learner extra work is like telling a marathon runner at the finish line to go run it again. That isn't challenge. It's punishment.
Designing for Depth is purposeful differentiation that builds real thinking. Inside this idea, I've created a framework called the Direction of Depth that can be utilized to extend learning in a meaningful way.

GENIUS HOUR

This is where the M.E.S.S. becomes most meaningful. Learners take what they've learned about themselves and the skills that they've built to think deeply and work on a project that will make a real impact.
This part of the system is built on my 6Ps of Genius Hour Framework that can used as a structure to take this type of learning from feeling like a complete mess to becoming a meaningful mess that leaves an impression.
The Meaningful M.E.S.S. Method has two parts.
