I believe that school is a place that educators and learners should want to be...and it's easier that we might think.
Just like you, I wanted to succeed—but I needed something different.
For the past [insert number] years, I’ve been digging into how to transform gifted education from something that felt overwhelming and unclear… into something practical, purposeful, and possible.
My Story
Early in my career, I realized my gifted learners weren’t being served the way they deserved. I was following the rules, checking the boxes—but something was missing. The classroom felt more like a place of compliance than curiosity, and I knew I had to make a change.
That’s when I began rethinking everything—differentiation, student ownership, and what it really means to engage learners in meaningful work. Over time, that journey led me to develop systems, strategies, and a passion-driven approach that not only transformed my classroom, but now helps educators and districts do the same.
Today, as the founder of A Meaningful Mess, LLC, I support schools across the country (and beyond) through keynotes, online courses, and a thriving educator community—because I believe gifted learners shouldn’t have to wait for the system to catch up, and educators shouldn’t have to figure it out alone.
I believe that every learner should be engaged and challenged...every single day.
I also believe that it's important to give educators the time, space, and resources to do this in a way that is both manageable and meaningful. My core beliefs are an important part of my work and I've shared them below.

I’ve spent my career helping educators and schools create learning experiences that are meaningful, manageable, and made for gifted learners. As a former classroom teacher turned international speaker and educational consultant, I know the real-world challenges teachers face—because I’ve lived them.
What sets me apart? I blend deep expertise in gifted education, years of hands-on experience, and a passion for reimagining what learning can look like. I’ve keynoted conferences, partnered with districts across the globe, and designed professional learning that doesn’t just inspire, it equips.
